Samhain Seance Online Workshop with Pam Grossman & Janaka Stucky

A group ritual & guided meditation for Samhain—an invitation to honor our ancestors and call on their wisdom, courage, and creative power.

As the shadows lengthen and the nights grow cold, we approach the threshold of Samhain—a season for honoring the dead and inviting their presence into our lives. We bring our gratitude, our questions, and the work still waiting to take shape. What might become possible when we approach our ancestors as collaborators? How might their wisdom and imagination nourish our creative practice, strengthen our spirits, and help us meet an uncertain future?

Join Pam Grossman and Janaka Stucky for an evening of reflection, meditation, and ritual devoted to these living relationships with the dead. We’ll explore connections with blood ancestors as well as chosen and creative ancestors: the artists, writers, guides, and other departed souls whose lives and work have helped shape our own. Ancestral kinship can reach beyond family lineage, allowing us to recognize and cultivate relationships rooted in affinity, inspiration, and devotion.

Together, we’ll go beyond the veil to create a space for remembrance and exchange, honoring what we have received and asking for support with what lies ahead. Through guided meditation and writing, we’ll listen for what these relationships might offer us—and consider what we might offer in return. In a tumultuous moment in history, this gathering invites us to draw strength from those who came before us and carry their gifts into the worlds we are making.
